Obituary of ELIZABETH CAROLYN JOHNSON

Elizabeth Carolyn Johnson, 86, of Drewryville, died Dec. 23, 1992. 

Miss Johnson was a former schoolteacher and principal in Southampton County. She was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She served her community in many ways and was especially active in the Drewryville United Methodist Church. 
Survivors include a sister, Nelle McLemore Johnson of Richmond; a brother, S.P. Johnson Jr. of Petersburg; and six nieces and nephews; a sister, Brooks Johnson Parker of Franklin, a brother, Owen Westbrook Johnson of Drewryville, and a nephew predeceased her. 
Services will be held Monday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. in Dreweryville United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Thomas Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Drewryville United Methodist Church. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
