Lloyd James Johnson, 71, of the 6800 block of Holy Neck Road, died Sept. 28, 1991, in his home. 

Mr. Johnson was born in Southampton County. He retired from Union Camp Corp. and was a member of Union Local 505 and Church of God. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. 

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Blythe Johnson; a daughter, Hazel J. Parker of Eure, N.C.; two sons, Lloyd R. Johnson of Courtland and James K. Johnson of Eure; two sisters, Lillie Mae Denson of Franklin and Dora L. Sadler of Newport News; a brother, Woodrow Johnson of Carrsville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Church of God, Franklin, by the Rev. Randy Wooden. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Holland-Rideout Funeral Home, Franklin.
