Obituary of Lloyd Ronald Johnson LLOYD RONALD JOHNSON Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, February 13, 1998 Lloyd Ronald ``Rambo'' Johnson, 54, died Feb. 12, 1998. Mr. Johnson, a native and lifelong resident of Southampton County, was a son of Daisy Blythe Johnson and the late Lloyd James Johnson. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the VFW. Mr. Johnson was a machinist for Franklin Equipment Co. for 18 years, a former officer in the Department of Corrections and had retired from Allied Colloids Inc. in Suffolk. He was a member of the Church of God in Franklin. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty Boykin Johnson; two sons, Lloyd Ronald Johnson and his wife, Trina, of Courtland, Brad James Johnson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister and a brother, Hazel J. Parker and James K. ``Boo'' Johnson, both of Eure, N.C. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Southampton Memorial Park , Franklin, by the Rev. Thomas James. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, at 7 p.m. today and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Courtland Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 439, Courtland, Va. 23837.
