FRANKLIN - Lillie Mae Johnson Denson, 94, died Feb. 12, 2006, at
Tandem Health Care of Windsor. A native of Southampton County, she
was a daughter of the late William and Rebecca Womble Johnson and the
widow of Enous Eli Denson. Mrs. Denson was a member of Black Creek
Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Bertha McCready of Portsmouth, Mary
Frances Coburn and Estelle Dundalow, both of Franklin, Betty Eason
and Barbara Cottle, both of Littleton, N.C., and Christine Blythe of
Suffolk; one son, Roy T. Denson of Franklin; one brother, Woodrow
Johnson of Carrsville; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and
four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Denson was predeceased by two
daughters, Nancy Denson and Gloria Supernaut; one son, Jack Denson;
sister, Dora Lee Sadler and brother, Lloyd Johnson.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Black Creek Baptist
Church with the Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Burial will follow in
Southampton Memorial Park . Memorials may be made to Black Creek
Baptist Church. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
