IVOR  Charlie Duck Jones, 74, died Dec. 2, 1999, on Louise Obici Hospital. A native o Isle of Wight County, he was a retired farm hand, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church.
  He was predeceased by four brothers, Robert H. Jones, Willie T. Jones, Nat D. Jones and Gus Jones; and two sisters, Rosa Bryant and Katy Brock. Survivors include two sisters, Lucy Jones Atkinson of Windsor and Dorothy Jones Stroud of Middlesex, N.C.; a brother, Ernest Parker Jones of Petersburg; and a devoted friend, Margaret A. Harris of Ivor.
  A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Smithfield, by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw. Burial will follow in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home and suggest that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Society, Isle of Wight Chapter, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
