EVA JONES FRANCIS

Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - June 24, 2004

Eva Jones Francis, 84, widow of Moncure Francis, died June 23, 2004, at
the East Pavilion. A native of Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the
late Adelbert and Katherine Matthews Jones and a member of Capron United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ellen F. Berryman and husband Winston
of Capron and Patricia K. Francis and life partner Sue Brown of Fort
Mill, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Rachael Francis of Nebo, N.C.; a sister,
Addie Olekreg of Sebastian, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Josh, Melanie and
Joel Francis, Monty, Adam and William Berryman and Tripp, Holly and
Kelly Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Simon, Chelsea and Casey
Wilson and Justin Francis; and a beloved caregiver, Fannie Hines. In
addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Francis was predeceased by a
son, Raymond E. Francis.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Capron Cemetery
with the Rev. Tommy Speight officiating. The family will receive friends
following the service at the residence on Meadow Street in Capron and
suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Courtland Baptist
Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 148, Courtland, VA 23837. Wright Funeral
Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
