Obituary of James Andrew "Jimmy" Jones JAMES ANDREW JONES Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, January 13, 2001 James Andrew ``Jimmy'' Jones, 90, widower of Alice Mae Vick Jones, died Jan. 12, 2001, at the VA Medical Center in Hampton. Mr. Jones was a native of Nansemond County and was a son of the late William Henry and Fannie Boyette Jones. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Philippines and was a former manager of several local Franklin businesses. He was a member of VFW Post 4411, a 30-year member of AA, and he loved to fish the Blackwater River. Survivors include several nieces and nephews including a special caregiver, Janice Whitley Edwards of Carrollton. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ira D. Hudgins officiating. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . A visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
