Obituary of Julia Alice Falor Jones JULIA ALICE FALOR JONES The Tidewater News - 02-17-2005 GREENWICH, CONN - Julia Alice Falor Jones, 54, wife of Emerson Philip Jones, Jr., a resident of Grenwich and Marquette Island, Hessel, Mich., died Feb. 11 in Greenwich. Born in Akron, Ohio, to William H. M.D. and Ann Van Blaricom Falor, she graduated from Old Trail School and Connecticut College, and received a master's degree in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. She pursued a career in international banking in San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia and New York. She enjoyed travel with her husband and their daughter, and summers in Hessel. She was a member of the junior League of Greenwich and the Les Cheneaux Island Club of Hessel. She was a kind, strong woman with a good sense of humor who participated enthusiastically in the educational activities of children. In addition to her husband of 28 years, she is survived by their daughter, Ashleigh Caroline; a sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Larry J. Carducci of Auburn, Calif.; brothers, William H., M.D., and wife Celeste Falor of Monterey, Calif., Stephen H. and wife Diane Falor of Columbus, Ohio; and eight nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Feb. 15 at First Presbyterian Church, 18 Lafayette Place, Greenwich, with the Rev. William Evertsberg officiating. There will also be a memorial service in August in Hessel. Should friends desire, contributions may be made in her name to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Leo P.
