  SUFFOLK  Elmer Horace Jordan, 82, died Jan. 1, 2001.
  A native of North Carolina, Mr. Jordan was a son of the late Minnie Chappell and Alek Jordan. He was a retired landscape supervisor with the Virginia Department of Transportation. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church, the Mens bible Class, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.
  Survivors include his wife, Ruth B. Jordan; and a brother, Clarence Jordan of Virginia.
  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cypress Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Willis Dowling and the Rev. Michael Brinkley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home. Memorial donations may be made to Cypress Chapel Christian Church Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1891 Cypress Chapel Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434, or the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge.
