Obituary of William Howard Jordan WILLIAM HOWARD JORDAN The Tidewater News - 08-25-2005 SUFFOLK - William Howard "Billy" Jordan, 77, died Aug. 18 at Obici Hospital. A native of Courtland, he was a son of the late Noland and Ruth Norfleet Jordan. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Suffolk. Survivors Include three brothers, Garland E. Jordan of Hampton, Robert Jordan of Suffolk and John Jordan of Gloucester and a special friend, Sue Williams of Suffolk. Mr. Jordan was predeceased by three sisters, Edith J. Worrell, Elizabeth J. Turner and Shirley J. Barnes and five brothers, Louis, Merritt, Leverson, Joe and Ray Jordan. A graveside service was conducted Aug. 19 in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Sharon James officiating.
