Obituary of Lloyd Carroll "L.C." Journigan Jr. LLOYD CARROLL JOURNIGAN JR. Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, September 27, 1997 Lloyd Carroll ``L.C.'' Journigan Jr., 60, died Sept. 26, 1997, in Stuart Circle Hosptial, Richmond. Mr. Journigan was a native of Southampton County and was the son of the late Lloyd C. and Marion Vick Journigan. He was a home-building contractor in Williamsburg. L.C. was a Boy Scout and marched in the 1953 inaugural parade for President Eisenhower. He served in the Air Force in Germany and was a member of the Bermuda Hundred United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Stone Journigan of Richmond; a daughter, Katherine J. Douglas, and her husband, Paul, of Goochland, Va.; a son, Lloyd C. Journigan III, and his wife, Sandra, of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Jean J. Harrup, and her husband, Charlie, of Capron, Va.; five grandchildren, Lloyd Charles Journigan, Jeremy Vidito, Marycatherine Douglas, Morgan Douglas and Lee Carroll Journigan; a niece, Deborah H. Dunn, and her husband, Steve, of Sedley; two nephews, Stephen W. Harrup, and his wife, Heike, of Fairfax, Va., and R. Brian Harrup, and his wife, Rhonda of Capron; four great-nieces, Kris Dunn, Andrea and Chelsea Harrup and Lindsey Harrup; and a great-nephew, Cameron Harrup. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with Johnnie Tomlin, cousin and friend, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland . The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today and suggest that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin, Va. 23851.
