Lucy Mae Joyner, 82, of the 300 block of Crescent Drive, died March 6, 1991, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Joyner, a native of Southampton County, was the widow of Shady Lee Joyner. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. 

Survivors include three daughters, Hazel J. Darden of Branchville, Julia J. Carr of Suffolk and Kathleen J. Slaton of Lugoff, S.C.; a son, S.L. Joyner Jr. of Franklin; two brothers, Fenton B. Lowe and Harvey Lowe, both of Franklin; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Clingenpeel and the Rev. Ira Hudgins. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 408 Old Sedley Road.
