Myrtle Keeter Goodman, 70, died June 30, 1998, at home. 

Mrs. Goodman was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late Charlie Oliver and Irene Ethel Holland Keeter. She was a member of South Quay Baptist Church where she was treasurer of the W.M.U. for 30 years. 

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence H. Goodman Sr.; two sons, Lawrence ``Larry'' H. Goodman Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Suffolk and C. Wayne Goodman and his wife, Chris, of Franklin; a sister, Cynthia K. Garris of Windsor; two brothers, Carroll Dean Keeter of San Antonio, Texas, and Charles Oliver Keeter of Sedley; two grandchildren, Kelly R. Goodman of Greenville, N.C., and Stephanie H. Goodman of Franklin. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Louis Venable. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the residence and suggests that memorial donations be made to South Quay Baptist Church.
