Obituary of Rebecca Bracey Kitchen REBECCA BRACEY KITCHEN Virginian Pilot - obit dated 04-01-2005 CARROLLTON - Rebecca Bracey Kitchen, 66, went to be with the Lord March 30, 2005. She was a real estate agent for William E. Wood in Smithfield. She was an active member of the Habitat for Humanity Smithfield Chapter, a member of the Smithfield Diva's (Red Hat Society) and Smithfield's American Legion Post No. 49. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John I. Kitchen and her parents, Leroy and Pearl Bracey. She is survived by her children, Jay Bradshaw and his wife Wilma, Rita Tanner and her husband Rusty and Wanda Latimer and her husband Travis; grandchildren, Jason Seward, Rebecca Callis and her husband Brian, Ashley Seward, April Cook, Brandon Seward, Courtney Latimer and Blake Latimer; and one great-grandchild, John Cook. She is also survive by many friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly. Becky was a good Christian lady who took pride in helping others. She loved life and was loved by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Becky's house, 109 Obrey Drive, Carrollton. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ivor Baptist Church in Ivor, Va., by the Rev. Mark Habecker. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 86, Isle of Wight, Va. 23397. Per her request, there will be no public viewing.
