Knight Jr., 80, a resident of Boykins, died on Friday, Feb. 4, 1994, at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin. Mr. Knight was a native of Southampton County and was the son of the late Rufus C. Sr. and Virgie Stephenson Knight. He was a retired salesman from Meherin Packing Co. He was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church and the Boykins American Legion Post (NU)276. He is survived by his wife, Clarine D. Knight, and his son, Thomas C. Knight of Boykins. A graveside service will be conducted in Beechwood Cemetery on Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bob Gochenour. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
