Obituary of Dr. Joseph David Kress DR. JOSEPH DAVID KRESS Virginian Pilot  05-22-1999 SUFFOLK  Dr. Joseph David Kress, 87, retired veterinarian, died May 21, 1999. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Jacob and Eva Greenstein Kresewitz. He attended the University of Connecticut and was a graduate of Ohio State University in veterinary science. Dr. Kress was the owner and operator of Kress Veterinary Hospital for 50 years. He was a member of Temple Sinai in Portsmouth, the Suffolk Elks Lodge No. 685, the Suffolk Masonic Lodge No. 30 and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Molly Rosen Kress; sons, Frank Kress of Chesterfield County, Jack Kress of Suffolk; sister, Simmie K. Allen of New London, Conn.; and three grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Scott Gerdin. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
