Berlie Burgess Lankford, 94, of Dixie Farm Road, died Dec. 27, 1991, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Lankford was born in Southampton County and was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. 

She was the widow of Vincent C. Lankford Sr. 

Survivors include two daughters, Mildred L. Blythe of Franklin and Nelda L. Morton of Portsmouth; a son, Vincent Lankford Jr. of Franklin; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. John Kelly. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
