Obituary of BERNARD N. LANKFORD The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - February 18, 1993 Bernard N. Lankford, 76, of 29119 Walters Highway, died Feb. 17, 1993. Mr. Lankford, a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, was retired from the automotive maintenance department of Union Camp Corp. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Duck Lankford; one daughter, Betty L. Butler of Carrsville; three sons, Bernard Lee Lankford of Canada, and Bobby Earl Lankford and Joseph William Lankford, both of Carrsville; three sisters, Martha L. Vaughan of Windsor, Bernice L. Edwards of Central Hill, Va., and Dorothy L. Carr of Suffolk; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by the Rev. John Watson and the Rev. Donald Trump. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggest that memorials be made to the church.
