SUFFOLK  Clyde Winfield Lankford, Jr., 76, of the 5300 block of Pruden Blvd., died July 3, 1998, in Obici Hospital.
  Born in Nansemond County, Va., he was a retired farmer. He was a former deacon, Trustee and member of Western Branch Baptist Church and a member of the Mens Bible Class. He was a charter member of the Kings Fork Ruritan Club.
  Survivors include his wife, Grace Darden Lankford; a son, Dr. C. Wayne Lankford and his wife, Debbie Hackney Lankford of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; a brother, Harold Jordan Lankford of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Kristen Sue and Ryan Wayne Lankford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nina Holland Lankford and Clyde. W. Lankford Sr.; and his sister, Sally Lankford Bilby.
  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Western Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. David Jendrey. Burial will be Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetry. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
