Albert Kenneth Lassiter, 83, of East Street, a retired electrical contractor, died March 4, 1993, in a Norfolk hospital.  
Mr. Lassiter, a native of Bertie County, N.C., was retired from the Southampton County School Board. He was a member of Boykins Baptist Church.  
Survivors include his wife, Jane Draper Lassiter; one daughter, Marcia L. Garriss of Courtland; two sons, Joel Kenneth Lassiter of Raleigh, N.C. and Eugene Clyde Lassiter of Forest Park, Ga.; two brothers, Hassell D. Lassiter and Roy A. Lassiter, both of Boykins; and five grandchildren, Joey, Karen, Amy, Kira and Candi.  
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beechwood Cemetery by the Rev. Phil Motley and the Rev. Donna Marie Foos. McDowell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boykins Volunteer Fire Department, the building fund of Boykins Baptist Church or Boykins United Methodist Church.
