Irene Smith Lee, 79, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died July 18, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin. 
Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy Johnson Smith. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church. 
Mrs. Lee is survived by her children, Wilmer Lee; a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Shirley Lee; two granddaughters, Robin Pinner and her husband, Jimmy, of Boykins, Jennifer Lee of Boykins and a great-granddaughter, Chelsea Pinner. 
Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ben Thomas. Burial will in the Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Irene Smith Lee, 79, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died 18 July 1996 at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin.  

Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy Johnson Smith. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church.  

Mrs. Lee is survived by her children, Wilmer Lee; a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Shirley Lee; two granddaughters, Robin Pinner and her husband, Jimmy, of Boykins, Jennifer Lee of Boykins and a great-granddaughter, Chelsea Pinner.
