BRANCHVILLE - Shirley Lee Kee, 68, widow of Charlie Thomas Kee Sr., died
Nov. 13, 2005, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Southampton
County, she was a daughter of the late Nora Wade and Joseph Anderson Lee
Sr. Mrs. Kee was a member of Galatia Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charlie Thomas Kee Jr. and wife Evelyn of
Boykins, Gerald Wade Kee and wife Karen of Franklin and Joseph Alan Kee
and wife Laura of Capron; one sister, Barbara Jean Fickler and husband
Gene of Boykins; two brothers, Joseph A. Lee Jr. and wife Evelyn of
Strasburg and Jimmy W. Lee of Boykins; seven grandchildren, Chrystal K.
Gibson, Jennifer K. Kirk, Whitney Davis Kee, Tyler Wade Kee, Brandon
Alan Kee, Marcella Brooke Watson and Lauren Kathryn Watson; and one
great-grandson, Joshua Thomas Gibson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beechwood
Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Cribb officiating. The family will receive
friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Alan and Laura Kee, 25486
Dickens Lane, Capron, Va., and suggest memorials be made to the American
Heart Association, c/o Mrs. Jane Duck, 27351 Delaware Road, Franklin VA
23851. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
