 Miss Carrie Lee Griffin, 87, died May 19, 1998 at The Virginia Home, Richmond. 
A native of Southampton County and daughter of the late Norfleet and Melissa Pope Griffin, she was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. 
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at The Virginia Home by the Rev. Art Graham and the Rev. Harry Baldwin. A second funeral will be held at Boykins United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Friday by the Rev. John Davenport. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the residence of Paul and Barbara Edwards, Pinecrest Drive, Boykins. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of flowers or as a donation to The Virginia Home, 1101 Hampton Street, Richmond, Va. 23220.
