   SUFFOLK  Mary Ellen Lewis Craddock, 68, a former Franklin resident and a former case worker with the Suffolk Department of Social Services, passed away peacefully with her son by her side at her home in Gretna,Va. on Oct. 1, 2003. For 16 years she had battled courageously with multiple chemical sensitivity.
   Survivors include her mother, Mirlie Odell Lewis Felton of Eure, N.C.; her son, Tim Briggs of Sunbury, N.C. ; a sister, Virginia Smith of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her father, Livie Clay Lewis and a brother, James Lewis, predeceased her.
   A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today in Holland Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. A. Richard Childress officiating. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
