WAKEFIELD - Lucy Laine Lonberger of West Church Street, died March 3,
2004, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk. She was a native of Sussex County and
a homemaker. Mrs. Lonberger was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church,
but had formerly been a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church.

Her husbands, Samuel Watson White, Jr. and Harry M. Lonberger and a son,
Samuel W. White III, preceded Mrs. Lonberger in death. She is survived
by a daughter, Sandra W. Brewster; son, Joseph W. White, both of
Wakefield; brother, Hugh Carter Laine of Pennsauken, N.J.;
daughter-in-law, Linda White Tusinski of Smithfield; two grandsons,
Samuel W. White IV and his wife Kristy and Sterling W. White; and
several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Colonial funeral Home
Chapel, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Mill Swamp Baptist Church
Cemetery, Ivor. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m.
in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Smithfield Town Hall,
P.O. Box 246 , Smithfield, VA 23431-0246, attn. Lisa Martin.
