SUFFOLK - Minnie Louise Council, 92, died June 14, 1999.
Born Nov. 11, 1906, in Columbia, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Bertie Norman Bateman and the widow of Woodrow Smith "Pete" Council. Mrs. Council was a member of First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She retired from Planter's Peanuts in 1969, having worked on the Nabs line.
Survivors include her daughter, Eva L. Parker of Virginia Beach; sons, William E. Loverman of Greenville, S.C., and Ray Loverman of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Pete Lopresti with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. 902 Pennsylvania Ave., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
