Evelyn Love Holland, 86, died March 1, 1999. She was born Sept. 26, 1912, in Nansemond County and was the widow of Romie Holland. She was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra H. Baines of Huntsville, Ala., and Peggy H. Ellis of Suffolk; a sister, Myrtie Mae Barnhill of Bethesda, Md.; a brother, Kenneth R. Holland of Morningside, Md.; four grandchildren, Frank W. Baines III of Smyrna, Ga., Lisa B. Angel of Gurley, Ala., Susan Haga of Charlotte, N.C., and Michael McFatter of Suffolk; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Liverman, Rachel Baines, Olivia Angel and Emma Angel. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Lafayette Wilkins. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
