Lowe Sr. ELBERON - Earle Russell Lowe Sr., 75, passed away May 6, 2003 in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. Born Jan. 10, 1928 in Southampton County he was the son of the late Russell Landon Lowe and Ruth Inez Jones Lowe. He was a retired farmer, member of the Ivor Masonic Lodge No. 291 AF&AM of which he was a past master, was a recipient of the Outstanding Young Farmer's Award, served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Millfield Baptist Church. Earle loved horses and playing music with his family and numerous friends. In November 2002 he was predeceased by his loving wife, Reba Kight Lowe. Mr. Lowe is survived by his children, Rusty Lowe and wife Brenda of Wakefield, Jayton Lowe and wife Kira of Sedley and Stacey L. Richards and husband Bobby of Elberon; five grandchildren, Forbes Lowe, Hannah Lowe, Drew Sledd, Reba Richards and Casey Richards; brother, Tony Lowe and wife Judy of Fancy Gap, Va.; and sister, Jane Lowe Collins of Tyner, N.C. Graveside services will be held at Ivor Cemetery , Ivor, Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Harrell officiating.
