MILDRED LUTON FERRELL

   SUFFOLK - Mildred Luton Ferrell beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of the 1700 block of Hosier Road, went home to be with her Lord on Feb. 10, 2000, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
   A native of Weeksville, N.C., she was a homemaker and a member of Cypress Chapel Congregational Christian Church. She was a past Bethel Guardian of Bethel No. 28, Suffolk and International Order of Job's Daughters. She was the daughter of the late Ursey Luton and Rena Bell White Luton.
  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Benjamin Louis Ferrell of Suffolk; daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya F. and John Butler of Norfolk, Betty Sue F. and E.C. Bonney of Virginia Beach, Peggy F. and Dale Horton of Suffolk, Wanda F. and Robert M. Niles III of Bennington, Vt., Nancy F. and Dennis Whitfield of Franklin, Va., and Kandi F. and Steve Rowe of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Delia L. Meads of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Gloria L. Cooper of Elizabeth City; and brother, Charles Luton of Plymouth, N.C.
   A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cypress Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. John R. Kimball. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Donations may be made to the Cypress Chapel Christian Church Building Fund, 1891 Cypress Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
