 Virginia Faison Maddrey, 77, a resident of Ivor, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk. 
Mrs. Maddrey was a member of Branchville Baptist Church and was the widow of Luther Vernon Maddrey. 
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley M. Horn of Chesapeake and Janet M. Felts of Ivor; a son, Dennis A. Maddrey of Ivor; a sister, Carrie F. Wendell of Emporia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Larry Burkhart and the Rev. Willard Fulcher. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will receive friends at the residence at 8496 Rawls Drive in Ivor. Memorial donations may be made to Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Ivor Volunteer Fire Department.
