Mrs. Magette was born in Franklin. She was a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church and a charter member of Sebrell Womans Club. She was the widow of Joseph H. Gray Jr. and Leroy A. Magette. Survivors include two daughters, Jane Stauffer of Midlothian and Alice E. Gray of Potecasi, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Ida Lou Thomas of Newport News and Peggy Sanders of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a son, Joseph H.
