SUFFOLK  Katherine Mann Lassiter, 85, died June 28, 2001, at Nansemond Point.
  A native of Pendleton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James Aubrey Mann and Mary Edwards Mann. She was a member of West End Baptist Church for more than 66 years and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Friendship Sunday School class and the Womens Missionary Union.
  The widow of John Wilburn J.W. Lassiter, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy L. and Adrian T. Robertson of Suffolk; a son, Steve Lassiter of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Jason and Travis Robertson; sister and brother-in-law, Anita M. and Frank D. Dejarnette of Suffolk; and loving caregivers, Ann Heath, Dot Baines and Elizabeth Tanyer.
  A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. T. Floyd Irby Jr. with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence 1345 Mead Drive.
  Memorial donations may be made to the West End Baptist Church, 501 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
