CARRIE M. TURNER

Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 28, 1999 

Carrie Marks Turner, 95, of Popes Station Road, died Feb. 26, 1999, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Mrs. Turner was the daughter of the late Aubrey Pope and Alice Wall Turner and the widow of Gilbert William Turner. She was a member of Capron Baptist Church and the WMU. 

Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen T. Maitland of Petersburg and Betty T. Marks of Sebrell; a son, Aubrey Marks Turner of Capron; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Capron Cemetery by the Rev. Bob Worthy and the Rev. James Smith. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests that memorial donations be made to Capron Baptist Church or to Capron Rescue Squad.
