Obituary of Robert Franklin Marks Jr. ROBERT FRANKLIN MARKS JR Donated Obit - Died 02-18-2005 CAPRON - Robert Franklin Marks Jr., 73, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Feb. 18, 2005. Bobby was a lifelong Southampton County resident and was a son of the late Robert F. and Texie Camp Marks. A longtime Southampton County farmer, he was a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, was an Air Force veteran and a member of Capron United Methodist Church and Capron Ruritan Club. Bobby was one of the founding members of Southampton Academy and a former member of its Board of Directors. He served on the Board of Directors of Southampton County Bank and Dominion Bank. An avid outdoorsman and sportsman, Bobby was a member of Cypress Cove Country Club and Indian Town Hunt Club, where he had been hunt master since 1958. Survivors include his wife, Connie V. Marks; his children, Robert F. Marks III and wife Patsy Edwards Marks and their children, Kelly, Megan and Robert IV; Dale Talmadge Marks and wife Madeline Kannan Marks and their daughter, Molly; Daniel Camp Marks and wife Michele Simmons Marks and their children, Daniel Andy and Cameron; Michael Jackson Marks and wife Debbie Martin Marks and their children Michael and Monica; Terrie Marks Williams; his step-children, Robert Lee Nicholson Iii and wife Audrey and their son Lee; James Marshall Nicholson and wife Tracy and their daughter Caroline; a brother Paul Douglas Camp Marks and wife Joan; a sister, Frances Marks Arnold Parker and husband David; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Capron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Beth Marie Barnett officiating. The burial will follow at the Capron Cemetery.
