She was the widow of Robert Franklin Marks and the daughter of the late Paul Douglas and Ella Cobb Camp . A resident of Boykins since 1922, she was a member of the Boykins Baptist Church, the Kirby Literary and Music Club and a charter member of the Tarrara Women's Club, Boykins. Mrs. Marks was a longtime member of the volunteer auxiliary of Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. She attended Hollins College. For many years she served as a member of the Board of Visitors of Chowan College and was recently elected to serve as the first Chowan College Baptist trustee outside of North Carolina. She is survived by one daughter, Frances Marks Arnold of Wilmington, N.C.; two sons, Paul Douglas Camp Marks and Robert Franklin Marks Jr., both of Capron; 16 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Boykins Baptist Church. The Rev. Thomas Caulkins will officiate. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will be at the residence, 18278 Virginia Ave., Boykins. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, is handling arrangements.
