Ray McKann< FRANKLIN - Rachel ``Ray'' Meetze McKann, 85, died March 27, 2001. Born in St. Matthews, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Julian Percy and Sadie Raysor Meetze and the widow of Milton McKann Jr. A former high school mathematics teacher and avid supporter of Girl Scouts, she was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. 

Survivors include a daughter, Joan McKann Dedge of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, Michael Raysor McKann of Baton Rouge, La.; seven grandchildren, Shannon Kesler, Thomas Dedge, Jonathan McKann, Susannah Cornelius, Patrick McKann, Wade McKann, Matthew McKann; and a great-grandchild, Grace Kesler. 

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery . The family will receive friends immediately following the service at The Village at Woods Edge and suggests that memorials be made to High Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 218, Franklin, VA 23851.
