Obituary of ALFRED LANKFORD MCKOWN Virginian Pilot 3 Dec 1994 p B6 Alfred L. McKown, 72, of Chillicothe, formerly of Roseland, Va., died Dec. 1, 1994, at Marietta Place. He was born Feb. 4, 1922, in Norfolk, Va., to Ernest and Alice Bryant McKown. On Sept. 15, 1944, he married Lois V. Moyer, who survives. Mr. McKown retired in 1968, as a fire chief with the U.S. Air Force after 25 years of service. He served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Massie Mills Episcopal Church, Massie Mills, Va. Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-laws, Judith and Robert Zatorski, Belford, N.J., Ginger and David Mullen, Chillicothe, Kathleen and Ethan Luke, Carmel, Calif.; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Alice McKown, Ft.
