Mr. Moore was a native of Prince Edward County, Va., and was one of seven children of the late Stanley and Mary Moore. Mr. Moore was a 1932 graduate of Hampden Sydney College and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired salesman with the Charles W. Priddy Fertilizer Co., Norfolk. He was a member of the Courtland Baptist Church, where he taught the Men's Bible Class for many years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Pully Moore; a son, Handy Gail Moore of Franklin; a sister, Gladys M. Farmer of Elm City, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Kenneth and Katie Moore. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Memorials may be made to the Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad.
