Evelyn M. Thompson 

COURTLAND - Evelyn Mosley Thompson, 88, devoted wife and loving mother, died Dec. 14, 2002 in the East Pavilion. 

Born in Boydton, Va., she was the daughter of the late W.A. and Etta Jones Mosley and the widow of Louis B. Thompson. She was the former owner of Louis Thompson Restaurant in Courtland and a member of Boydton Methodist Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Gail T. Stradley and her husband Bobby of Franklin and Glenda T. Williams and her husband Gene of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Judith T. Heath. 

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Capron Cemetery with the Rev. Lafayette Wilkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorials be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church, 412 North High St., Franklin, VA 23851.
