Ruby Brummitte Mulder, 75, died June 15, 2001. 

Ruby was born in Norton, Va., a daughter of the late Monroe and Laurettia Brummitte, and was the widow of Harry Luke Mulder. She was a retired secretary-treasurer for Harry Mulder Plumbing and Heating Co. and a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Ruby was a member of Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a longtime pink lady. 

Survivors include two sisters, Vivian Brummitte of Norton and Eleanor Gordard of Kingsport, Tenn.; a nephew, Steve Branton of Kingsport; an adopted daughter, Jean Bradshaw and her husband, Joe, of Franklin; godchildren, Joey Bradshaw and his wife, Lisa, Jill Wright, and Jack Bradshaw and his wife, Joanne; great-godchildren, Sadie Wright and Lauren Bradshaw. Ruby was predeceased by a sister, Glessie Brummitte. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Reginald Warren officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Joe and Jean Bradshaw, 27143 Dogwood Bend Road, Franklin. Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
