Willie Herman Munford, 78, died Monday May 22, 2000, in Obici Hospital. 

Mr. Munford was born and raised in Sedley, and after living in many locations came back to Sedley for his last four years. Mr. Munford was self-employed. 

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Gurwell of Virginia Beach and a granddaughter, Marie Williams of Knotts Island, N.C.; and two brothers, Howard Munford of Suffolk and Grover Munford of Idaho. 

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park , Franklin. The family will receive friends following the burial service.
