Fred Burgess Odell, 90, formerly of Franklin, passed away Jan. 1, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Frances Shapland Odell; five children, Fred B. Odell Jr. (Denise), Cynthia O. Lacy (Butch), Gail Kerrick (Jason), Kinney Odell (Belinda), and Howard Odell (Della); and nine grandchildren, all of Richmond. 
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grace Memorial United Methodist Church Church, Sedley, Va., with the Rev. Elizabeth Von Trapp Walker and the Rev. Tony Palubicki officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Lakeside Presbyterian Church. 
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Grace Memorial UMC, P.O. Box 73, Sedley, VA 23878, to Lakeside Presbyterian Church, to Lakeside Rescue Squad or to Hospice of Central Virginia, 7231 Forest Ave., Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23226. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.
