Mr. Panton, a native of North Carolina, was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Grace Harrell Panton. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Revs. John Siegle and Robert Fridley. Friends may join the family at the residence Saturday.
