FRANKLIN - Jean Paramore Garden, 61, died March 9 at Southampton
Memorial Hospital.
A native of Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Howell and
Mamie Gertrude Spence Paramore. Mrs. Garden was a longtime medical
records administrator with Southampton Memorial Hospital, where she
worked for 25 years. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, H. Wells Garden; one daughter, Megan
Marie Parker of Virginia Beach and fianc'e Kenneth Sanders, III; one son,
Tripp parker and wife Wendy of Courtland; one sister, Marie Gerrans of
Kinston, N.C.; three brothers, Roger Paramore of Kinston, Joe Paramore
of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Charels Paramore of Aiken, S.C.; her
stepmother, Glynn Dansey of Franklin; and three grandchildren, Garrett,
Patrick and Ryan Parker.
A memorial service was to be conducted at 11 a.m., March 12, at the
Franklin Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. A. Richard Childress
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American
Cancer Society, c/o June S. Cooley, 112 Sunset Drive, Franklin, VA
23851. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
