Obituary of Robert "Bobby" Louis Parham ROBERT "BOBBY" LOUIS PARHAM Virginian Pilot - 12-27-2004 FRANKLIN - Robert "Bobby" Louis Parham, 68, a longtime resident of Capron, died Dec. 26, 2004, at his residence. A native of Warren County, N.C., he was a son of Catherine Paynter Parham and the late Robert Lee Parham. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his first wife, Alyce Paige Johnson Parham. Bobby was a member of Capron Baptist Church and retired as superintendent with the Virginia Department of Transportation with 42 years service. he was a former Capron Ruritan and former Capron volunteer fireman. He loved his church, fishing and any softball team his granddaughter played on. Survivors include his wife, Toby Gross Parham; two daughters, Patsy Parham Ferguson and husband Peyton of Newsoms, and Wanda Paige Parham of Capron and fiance David Gray of Franklin; stepchildren, Debra Parker and husband Kenneth of Chesapeake, Katrina G. Carr and husband Mark of Franklin, William Hare and wife Sylvia of Franklin, Randy hare and wife Janice of Bealeton, Va., and David Hare of Culpepper, Va.; five sisters, Marjorie P. Garrison and husband Lonnie of Hopewell, Phyllis P. Futrell and husband Robert of Charlotte, N.C., Dorothy P. Bunting of Gloucester, Peggy B. Morgan and husband tom of Collierville, Tenn., and Carol P. Simms and husband Edward of Franklin; a brother Richard L. Parham and wife Carol of Richmond; two grandchildren, Andy and Ashley Ferguson of Newsoms; 10 step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Capron Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Lovorn and the Rev. Keith Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Capron Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o June S.
