Obituary of Joyce Parker Patty JOYCE PARKER PATTY Virginian Pilot - 05-01-2003 SUFFOLK - Joyce Parker Patty, 67, of the 200 block of Edwards Ave., passed away April 29, 2003. Born in Nansemond County, Va., she had been a lifelong Suffolk residence. A homemaker, she was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sue Goodman Parker and Seth Parker; a brother Edward Louis Parker and a sister, Marjorie P. Cook. She will be sadly missed by her living husband of 48 years, James Kenneth Parry; two daughters, Terri P. Crumpler and husband John and Susan P. Rawls and husband Rick and her beloved grandson, John Robert Crumpler III, all of Suffolk; four sisters, Virginia P. Williams of Suffolk, Elizabeth P. Parker of Como, N.C., Hazel P. Evans of Suffolk and Ola P. Drewry of Franklin; and two brothers, John T. Parker Sr. and Harold G. Parker, also of Suffolk; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Jonathan Palmer. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Friends may join the family at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at other times and following the burial.
