Obituary of PERCY JACOB MATTOX, JR

P.J. Mattox, 73, of Drewryville, died Jan. 23, 1993. 

Mr. Mattox, a retired farmer, was a lifelong resident of Southampton County. He was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, the Drewryville Ruritan Club and the Drewryville Volunteer Fire Department. 
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Cobb Mattox; a daughter, Becky Ferrell of Franklin; two sons, Stan Mattox of Drewryville and Jerry Mattox of Yale, Va.; three sisters, Nell Mitchell of Emporia, Leola Fisher of Drewryville and Margaret Duckworth of Roanoke; a brother, Gilbert Mattox of Emporia; and seven grandchildren. 
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Thomas Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Edmund Ellis. Memorial donations may be made to the Drewryville Volunteer Fire Department or Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
