 Virginia ''Virgie'' Allen Poland, 68, formerly of Franklin, died April 21, 1997, at her home in Archdale, N.C. 
A native of Cumberland County, N.C., she was the daughter of Foy and Annie Strickland-Allen. She was a former member of Franklin Baptist Church and a former employee of the Airway Restaurant in Franklin. 
Mrs. Poland is survived by two sons, Raymond Anderson of Archdale, N.C., Harry Tucker Poland Jr. of Capron; two daughters, Brenda A. Turner and Laurie A. Bullard, both of Courtland; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will greet friends following the service. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, is handling arrangements.
