She was born in Carrsville, a daughter of the late Howard Lee and Lillie Eva Johnson Turner and the widow of Gerald Renee Pollak. Mildred was a retired registered nurse from Central Islip State Hospital; a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church; and attended Franklin Baptist Church. Surviving is one brother, Johnnie Robert Turner of Franklin; nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, including Jane Henderson, Viola Johnson, Shara Kitchen, Cindy Jones and Patricia Baker. She was predeceased by three sisters, Louise Egger, Carolyn Heinrich and Shirley Mae Turner; and three brothers, Clifton, Willie and Ray Turner. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Sharon James officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.
