James Edward Pope, 73 of Colosse Road, died July 3, 1993.  
Mr. Pope was born in Boykins, Va., and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from St. Joe's Paper Company in Chesapeake.  
Survivors include two brothers, Hinton R. Pope of Carrsville and Marvin B. Pope of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.  
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by Dr. Richard L. Peerey. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
